I suppose this ol' thing deserves an update of some sort. I'll be make it quick, but hey, at least I'm doing something

So just recently, I found Kalinikoff (however the heck you spell that thing). It was a pretty relieving feeling. So as I was flipping through my yearbook last year, I was just looking at all the juniors, and then boom, I flipped onto a page that had like 3 pages of music on there and I was like "YES!" Kinda odd because I found it on accident, but at least I have it now. I guess during those last days of school when I just brought my yearbook, I didn't have anything else to put it in so I just stuffed it in my year book in hopes I was find it (ended up being like 4 months later pfft).

So, other than that, my hair is getting longer, and Meliza pulled my sweatshirt hood over me. Unfortunately, my hair was pulled along with it, and it started scratching against my eyelids to cause great pain and agony. Yeah, my hair is pretty lethal. mm hmm.

So I'm debating whether or not to reinstall Limewire back on my computer again because that was the reason why I got all these viruses on my computer, but I'm so devoid of music (I only have like, 25 pieces of music on here). Eh, maybe just for a bit, I 'll just have to back up all my crap.

So tomorrow is a day of reckoning for those to know why.

today calls for a milestone

Friday, May 05, 2006

AH. A MONTH HAS passed since my last entry, and I suppose I should be at least once a month. So much has happened, what to say, what to say. AP tests... the most recent of course. Music theory was... easier than i had thought, but I was pretty nervous before the test; I sincerely hope I got a five on it.

In addition i had SEVERAL musical events this month (2 more to come actually). One of em was this piano competition in the etude school of music. I played my french suite in c minor and a Variations in D by Kabelevsky. I had an EXCELLENT performance, except for the fact that on my Kabelevsky, everything went fine until the VERY LAST FRICKING CHORD (a D major chord). I ended up playing a D major chord in the right hand and a G major chord in the left hand to end the piece. Then I have to go play at Rossmoor for this extra  Junior Bach program (I have to move my own harpsichord for this, because JB couldn't get a hold of one available -_-). Then, on the same day, I have to play for guild (15 piano pieces) in the morning. So, I have a pretty packed schedule this month.

So I had my junior bach festival last week, it was pretty tight. I mean, usually most of the program are keyboard solos, but there were only three (me on the harpsichord, two other girls on the piano). There's usually like 10-14 performances on the program, so this is actually quite a good program. There were even dancers to some bach music, it was extremely... shall we say.... interesting.

Then there were these partners, a piano and a cello. My god. I cannot believe it. They were terribly out of tune, and there just weren't together for a good 43% of the piece. They seemed to be like, going about doing there own thing. The cello was out of tune, the piano was way too loud, and they only were together when they ended a movement, where they would make semi eye contact. Just, terrible, that's all.

Ah yes, then there was the Cantata 78 sung by The children's contra costa choir (Meliza was in there, along with several people I knew from Las Lomas). They sang quite well, I enjoyed it thoroughly =D.

Then, when I played harpsichord, there was an unfortunate mishap which terribly annoyed me during my 5th movement of my french suite. You see, in this one section, I had to play on the upper manual of the harpsichord (the second keyboard that's located above the 1st keyboard and it's pushed back a bit). And, the cuff of my tux got caught on the 1st manual keyboard, so i was restricted movement, and it kept catching my movements throughout the whole thing, but I managed to play the piece just as well as if I wasn't constricted. Kinda scary though, cause I seriously thought I would stumble because of it. Other than than that, I managed to adapt to this god-forbid-terrible-feeling of the harpsichord. It was quite horrid, the keys would go down fine when I press them, but coming back up, they were slow as molasses. It made it extremely hard to make my fast trills, so I had to devise a method of trilling slow, but still making it fast enough for the piece (one of my pieces was entirely based on mordents and trills, like 1-2 a measure).

Anyways, I got my new icemat siberia headphones today from my cousin (early birthday present lol). I'm quite glad because my earbuds were destroying my ear structure, at least I think... For some reason one wouldn't fit into my right ear, and ended up muffling the sound against my ear, so it would create a terrible imbalance in the sound distribution. So, I'm extremely happy to finally get a good quality pair of headphones that are comfortable and have good bass.

Ok....... So. I got sick over the past few days, so unfortunately I suffered during the exit exam, ok, well not exactly, I was on acetaminophen until lunch. On saturday I have a big junior bach concert in Berkeley, which Meliza is in as well in a chorus.

There doesn't seem to be a whole lot to talk about. Well, now that I think about it, there's a LOT to talk about, there's just so much that happened over the last 3 weeks that I can't process it all into this one post -_-

............... Ah... too much, can't write it all. Oh. Actually there is. I've to come to the conclusion that I hate being called Putinjab. It's getting overly obsessive and it's time to stop here and now. Perhaps I should have ended it sooner......... I'll end it tomorrow......... It's been far to long anyhow, and it's time we move on, because it's seriously getting old.

My life has been pretty uneventful, or i'm just not keeping track of all the events in my life very well. Ok, there have been a few drama spikes here and there, but it all seems dull. I no longer have as much of an urge to play video games anymore, it seems.... unsatisfying. Going out with friends is a lot more fun, as I discovered this year. I wish I discovered that sooner.... But anyway, I'm glad I did. Not to say I'll stop gaming completely =D.

Our self-defense class is plain rediculous, that's all I have to say.
